IOTA/IOTA-ES occultation update for (12126) 1999 RM11 / TYC 0025-00089-1 event on 2012 Jul 17, 17:45 UT Visible from SE Asia Summary ------- On 2012 Jul 17 UT, the 33 km diameter asteroid (12126) 1999 RM11 will occult a 11.1 mag star in the constellation Pisces for observers along a path across SE Asia. In the case of an occultation, the combined light of the asteroid and the star will drop by 6.2 mag to 17.3 mag (the magnitude of the asteroid) for at most 3.6 seconds. This update is based on historical astrometry from the MPC files (via AstDys), and the following catalogs for the star position: UCAC.
