IOTA/IOTA-ES occultation update for (2223) Sarpedon / TYC 0610-00484-1 event on 2012 Oct 28, 14:48 UT Visible from Philippines, SE Asia Summary ------- On 2012 Oct 28 UT, the 108 km diameter asteroid (2223) Sarpedon will occult a 9.3 mag star in the constellation Pisces for observers along a path across Philippines, SE Asia. In the case of an occultation, the combined light of the asteroid and the star will drop by 7.2 mag to 16.5 mag (the magnitude of the asteroid) for at most 6.7 seconds.
