IOTA/IOTA-ES occultation update for (0) 2008 OG19 / UCAC2 27931880 event on 2012 Nov 14, 05:20 UT Visible from Pacific Ocean Summary ------- On 2012 Nov 14 UT, the 255 km diameter asteroid (0) 2008 OG19 will occult a 12.9 mag star in the constellation Capricornus for observers along a path across Pacific Ocean. In the case of an occultation, the combined light of the asteroid and the star will drop by 8.6 mag to 21.5 mag (the magnitude of the asteroid) for at most 15.1 seconds. This update is based on historical astrometry from the MPC files (via AstDys), and the following catalogs for the star position: UCAC.
