IOTA/IOTA-ES occultation update for (380) Fiducia / UCAC4 571-033246 event on 2021 Jan 04, 06:10 UT Visible from USA Summary ------- On 2021 Jan 04 UT, the 72.3 km diameter asteroid (380) Fiducia will occult a 13.5 mag star in the constellation Gemini for observers along a path across USA. In the case of an occultation, the combined light of the asteroid and the star will drop by 0.66 mag to 13.30 mag (the magnitude of the asteroid) for at most 5.4 seconds. This update is based on UNSO/Flagstaff astrometry for the asteroid kindly provided by Hugh Harris, astrometry for the asteroid kindly provided by Bill Owen, astrometry for the asteroid kindly provided by the IAU Minor Planet Center.
