IOTA/IOTA-ES occultation update for (892) Seeligeria / UCAC4-429-015533 event on 2021 Feb 02, 13:51 UT Visible from New Zealand, Australia, China Summary ------- On 2021 Feb 02 UT, the 75.8 km diameter asteroid (892) Seeligeria will occult a 12.4 mag star in the constellation Monoceros for observers along a path across New Zealand, Australia, China. In the case of an occultation, the combined light of the asteroid and the star will drop by 2.19 mag to 14.42 mag (the magnitude of the asteroid) for at most 6.8 seconds. This update is based on UNSO/Flagstaff astrometry for the asteroid kindly provided by Hugh Harris, astrometry for the asteroid kindly provided by Bill Owen, astrometry for the asteroid kindly provided by the IAU Minor Planet Center.
