IOTA/IOTA-ES occultation update for (150) Nuwa / UCAC4 553-022869 event on 2021 Feb 03, 06:30 UT Visible from NE USA, Canada Summary ------- On 2021 Feb 03 UT, the 137.2 km diameter asteroid (150) Nuwa will occult a 11.5 mag star in the constellation Orion for observers along a path across NE USA, Canada. In the case of an occultation, the combined light of the asteroid and the star will drop by 2.01 mag to 13.30 mag (the magnitude of the asteroid) for at most 23.8 seconds. This update is based on UNSO/Flagstaff astrometry for the asteroid kindly provided by Hugh Harris, astrometry for the asteroid kindly provided by Bill Owen, astrometry for the asteroid kindly provided by the IAU Minor Planet Center.
