IOTA/IOTA-ES occultation update for (209) Dido / TYC 1947-01140-1 event on 2021 Feb 11, 18:28 UT Visible from SE Asia, India, Arabia, Africa Summary ------- On 2021 Feb 11 UT, the 147.4 km diameter asteroid (209) Dido will occult a 10.5 mag star in the constellation Cancer for observers along a path across SE Asia, India, Arabia, Africa. In the case of an occultation, the combined light of the asteroid and the star will drop by 2.67 mag to 13.07 mag (the magnitude of the asteroid) for at most 11.9 seconds. This update is based on UNSO/Flagstaff astrometry for the asteroid kindly provided by Hugh Harris, astrometry for the asteroid kindly provided by Bill Owen, astrometry for the asteroid kindly provided by the IAU Minor Planet Center.
