IOTA/IOTA-ES occultation update for (482) Petrina / TYC 0217-00295-1 event on 2021 Feb 19, 17:40 UT Visible from Australia, Arabia, Africa Summary ------- On 2021 Feb 19 UT, the 46.7 km diameter asteroid (482) Petrina will occult a 10.6 mag star in the constellation Hydra for observers along a path across Australia, Arabia, Africa. In the case of an occultation, the combined light of the asteroid and the star will drop by 3.07 mag to 13.59 mag (the magnitude of the asteroid) for at most 3.3 seconds. This update is based on UNSO/Flagstaff astrometry for the asteroid kindly provided by Hugh Harris, astrometry for the asteroid kindly provided by Bill Owen, astrometry for the asteroid kindly provided by the IAU Minor Planet Center.
