IOTA/IOTA-ES occultation update for (193) Ambrosia / TYC 1774-01248-1 event on 2021 Feb 20, 11:21 UT Visible from Japan, E Russia Summary ------- On 2021 Feb 20 UT, the 30.4 km diameter asteroid (193) Ambrosia will occult a 9.2 mag star in the constellation Aries for observers along a path across Japan, E Russia. In the case of an occultation, the combined light of the asteroid and the star will drop by 4.62 mag to 13.80 mag (the magnitude of the asteroid) for at most 1.0 seconds. This update is based on UNSO/Flagstaff astrometry for the asteroid kindly provided by Hugh Harris, astrometry for the asteroid kindly provided by Bill Owen, astrometry for the asteroid kindly provided by the IAU Minor Planet Center.
