IOTA/IOTA-ES occultation update for (39) Laetitia / TYC 0286-00518-1 event on 2022 Jul 12, 15:10 UT Visible from India Summary ------- On 2022 Jul 12 UT, the 158 km diameter asteroid (39) Laetitia will occult a 11.4 mag star in the constellation Virgo for observers along a path across India. In the case of an occultation, the combined light of the asteroid and the star will drop by 1.09 mag to 12.04 mag (the magnitude of the asteroid) for at most 6.060 seconds. This update is based on, astrometry for the asteroid kindly provided by the IAU Minor Planet Center. This work has made use of data from the European Space Agency (ESA) mission Gaia (http://www.cosmos.esa.int/gaia), processed by the Gaia Data Processing and Analysis Consortium (DPAC, http://www.cosmos.esa.int/web/gaia/dpac/consortium).
