IOTA/IOTA-ES occultation update for (349) Dembowska / TYC 1825-01991-1 event on 2022 Dec 29, 15:19 UT Visible from Russia Summary ------- On 2022 Dec 29 UT, the 147.5 km diameter asteroid (349) Dembowska will occult a 10.4 mag star in the constellation Taurus for observers along a path across Russia. In the case of an occultation, the combined light of the asteroid and the star will drop by 0.72 mag to 10.33 mag (the magnitude of the asteroid) for at most 20.670 seconds. This update is based on, astrometry for the asteroid kindly provided by the IAU Minor Planet Center. This work has made use of data from the European Space Agency (ESA) mission Gaia (http://www.cosmos.esa.int/gaia), processed by the Gaia Data Processing and Analysis Consortium (DPAC, http://www.cosmos.esa.int/web/gaia/dpac/consortium).
