IOTA/IOTA-ES occultation update for (18718) 1998 HJ128 / TYC 0846-00949-1 event on 2023 Mar 06, 18:30 UT Visible from SE Asia, Russia, Europe Summary ------- On 2023 Mar 06 UT, the 6.71491882900643 km diameter asteroid (18718) 1998 HJ128 will occult a 7.1 mag star in the constellation Leo for observers along a path across SE Asia, Russia, Europe. In the case of an occultation, the combined light of the asteroid and the star will drop by 9.91 mag to 17.01 mag (the magnitude of the asteroid) for at most 2.160 seconds. This update is based on, astrometry for the asteroid kindly provided by the IAU Minor Planet Center. This work has made use of data from the European Space Agency (ESA) mission Gaia (http://www.cosmos.esa.int/gaia), processed by the Gaia Data Processing and Analysis Consortium (DPAC, http://www.cosmos.esa.int/web/gaia/dpac/consortium).
