IOTA/IOTA-ES occultation update for (13856) 1999 XZ105 / UCAC4 385-132666 event on 2024 Oct 28, 14:12 UT Visible from Summary ------- On 2024 Oct 28 UT, the 15.4341693309741 km diameter asteroid (13856) 1999 XZ105 will occult a 11.1 mag star in the constellation Sagittarius for observers along a path across . In the case of an occultation, the combined light of the asteroid and the star will drop by 7.16 mag to 18.22 mag (the magnitude of the asteroid) for at most 0.580 seconds. This update is based on, astrometry for the asteroid kindly provided by the IAU Minor Planet Center.
